Orange Cranberry Biscotti Recipe

Orange Cranberry Biscotti Recipe

I’ve always loved biscotti with my morning coffee or evening tea ☕ — and this Orange Cranberry Biscotti recipe has quickly become one of my favorites.

It’s crispy, full of bright citrus flavor, and the cranberries add just the right touch of sweetness and chewiness. 🍒

These Italian-style cookies are twice-baked, which gives them their signature crunch. Don’t let that scare you — they’re super easy to make at home.

Whether you’re making them for the holidays or just because, they’re a total crowd-pleaser!

Orange Cranberry Biscotti Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs 🥚
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 large orange 🍊
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or a white chocolate drizzle

Step-by-Step Instructions

Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla, orange zest, and orange juice. It already smells amazing!

Slowly stir in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the dried cranberries (and white chocolate chips if using).

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log (about 10 inches long and 2 inches wide). Place the logs on your baking sheet, a few inches apart, and flatten them slightly.

Bake for 25–30 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. Then, using a sharp knife, slice the logs diagonally into 3/4-inch pieces.

Lay the biscotti slices cut-side down on the baking sheet and return to the oven. Bake for another 10 minutes, flip them, and bake 10 more minutes until crisp.

Cool completely. For a sweet finish, drizzle with melted white chocolate! 🍫✨

Tips & Variations

  • Add chopped nuts (like almonds or pistachios) for extra crunch.
  • Swap cranberries for dried cherries or apricots for a twist.
  • Store biscotti in an airtight container — they’ll last for up to 2 weeks!
